Restaurant Magic Successfully Completes Type 2 SOC 1 Examination

Restaurant Magic Software announced today that it has successfully completed a Type 2 SOC 1 Examination for its Data Central Software.  The examination was performed by Schellman & Company, LLC in accordance with attestation standards established by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA).  The examination was completed during the September 1, 2017, to February 28, 2018 review period.  

SOC 1 examinations are performed by licensed CPA firms to review controls that a service organization implements to prevent, detect, or correct, errors or omissions in the information it provides to user entities.  Service Organization Control (SOC) 1 reports are conducted in accordance with Statement on Standards for Attestation Engagements (SSAE) 18, Reporting on Controls at a Service Organization.  SSAE 18 replaced the SSAE 16 and SAS 70 auditing standard in the 2017 calendar year.
