This week I received a forwarded email from a customer, a Data Central administrator (DCA). In the email the DCA wrote very nicely that a new and improved feature was not delivering the hoped for gain in efficiency for that particular task. The email went on to say that the DCA did not want to put anything negative in the forum.
First of all it is a real blessing to have such thoughtful caring customers - it really is - thank you.
Please share your pleasure and your displeasure in the forum. As long as the criticism is not personally aimed at anyone in particular, Data Central will not get its nose out of joint, nor those who try to design a better application experience (including me)! Rather your honest criticism can be viewed by all, including our designers, developers, and testers, but most importantly by other customers. And in the light of day, some criticism may be defended by design or another customers perspective, but all criticism will be absorbed and used to build a better product for tomorrow.
So in conclusion please use the forum for both compliments, queries, and criticism and may everyone be as polite and courteous as the DCA who prompted this missive.
