Steven Roberts founded AccSys, Inc./Restaurant Magic Software in 1990. Prior to this business venture, he performed as a professional musician, and then provided consultant services that created custom software for Florida companies.
When first founded, AccSys specialized in custom software for businesses such as Motorola, Tech Data, Budget Rent-a-Car and Outback Steakhouse. When Outback Steakhouse acquired development rights to Carrabba’s Italian Grill in 1995, the president of Carrabba’s approached Roberts with an opportunity to automate the expansion of the concept. That meeting resulted in Restaurant Magic Software, a product specializing in business management software for multi-unit restaurants.
As President and Chief Operating Officer, Roberts is committed to honoring the company’s mission “to provide the tools and guidance for restaurant chains that put the right information in the right hands at the right time to help our customers make wise business decisions.” He looks forward to future product development that continues to meet clients’ changing needs.
A native of Ft. Myers, Fla., Mr. Roberts attended the University of South Florida. He is married to Dolly, a well-known harpist in the Tampa Bay area, and has two college-aged children. The Roberts are active in the community, supporting their local church, children’s ministries, and local charities such as Life Path Hospice and The Spring.
